We are pleased to tell you that Earnhardt Auto Centers has joined together with the Boy Scouts of America-Grand Canyon Council, The Arizona Association for Foster and Adoptive Parents, and ABC15 in the 8th Annual Bike Drive for Kids in Foster Care. As you know, we participated in this program last year and collected over 1200 bikes for the kids.
From now until September 30th, the Earnhardt dealerships will be drop off locations for gently used and new bikes. At the end of the program, the bikes will be hauled to a bike warehouse in Phoenix where the bikes will be cleaned and refurbished by the Boy Scouts and other volunteers. The refurbished bikes will then be delivered to Arizona’s foster children before Christmas.
The program will be heavily promoted on ABC15 News, Sonoran Living Live and ABC15.com. Besides offering our dealerships as drop-off locations, we will also post this on Earnhardt web and social media sites.
If you would like to donate a bike to this very worthwhile program, please bring it in to your dealership before September 30th. Some of you possess skills that would be very helpful to the refurbishment of the bikes and we encourage you to volunteer by registering at www.recycleyourbicycleaz.com.
